Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
Quiet Giant Games ("QuietGiantGames", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy covers this website. Each game has its own privacy policy that explains exactly what that game stores; for Fishdayz it is at fishdays.fun/#privacy.
What this website collects
Very little. The website has no accounts, no forms, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Like every website, the servers that deliver it (our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare) briefly process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. They may count visits in aggregate without cookies.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to answer you.
Game test votes (for example on the Digdayz and FarmDayz pages) are anonymous: we store only your answers and a random voter number your browser keeps so you can change your vote. Your network address is kept only as a scrambled code, used to stop one network from voting many times. Votes are counted on that game's test server (digdayz.quietgiantgames.fun for Digdayz and, for now, Derbydayz, Hollowdayz, Lanterndayz and Punchdayz; farmdayz.quietgiantgames.fun for FarmDayz).
Hollowdayz, Lanterndayz and Punchdayz run in your browser. They have no chat, purchases or advertising. Without an account, your progress and settings stay on your own device, in your browser's storage, and are never sent to us; clearing your browser's data erases them. These games ask your birth month and year once and keep only a yes or no on your device, never the date itself. Hollowdayz loads one open-source code library (three.js) from Cloudflare, which already delivers this website.
Accounts in these three games are optional, and they are the same accounts as Digdayz. If you make one, we use your birth month and year only to check you are 13 or older, and we do not store them. We store your player name, your email address, a securely hashed password, a copy of your progress in each of these games so you can carry on from any device, and your network address for security. All of this is kept on our game server (digdayz.quietgiantgames.fun). Other players cannot see your progress or your email address. To delete your account, tap your name on a game's title screen, then Delete my account.
What our games collect
This section covers our games with accounts and online play. In short: your player name and progress, and, if you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed password. We also store chat messages, feedback you send, an optional phone number for text alerts, records of purchases, and your network address and device type for security. We use this to run the game, keep your progress on every device, keep the community safe and deliver purchases. The full details are in each game's privacy policy.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- We do not show ads in our games.
- We never see your card number: card payments are handled by Stripe.
Who we share data with
Only service providers that help us run our games, and only what they need: Cloudflare (website delivery and security), Stripe (card payments on the website), Apple (purchases in the iPhone and iPad app) and RevenueCat (which checks those Apple purchases for us under an anonymous ID, never your name or email), Twilio (optional text alerts) and Resend (our email delivery). They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect players and our services from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account exists. In Fishdayz, when you delete your account in the game it is deleted right away (a request by email is handled within 30 days); we keep a copy for another 30 days so you can change your mind, and then erase it; backups age out within 14 more days. Unused guest progress is removed automatically. Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Hollowdayz, Lanterndayz, Punchdayz and Digdayz share one account. When you delete it in Hollowdayz, Lanterndayz or Punchdayz, this is removed at once: your email address, player name, hashed password and friend code; your sign-ins and email links; your cloud saves; your Digdayz plot, items, level and discoveries, and that plot's Friends' Chest; your friends, friend requests and blocks; your place in a clan; feedback you sent us; your sign-in history, including network addresses; copies of emails we sent you; appeals you wrote; and your lines in live chat. You can sign up again with the same email as a brand-new player, with nothing carried over. Progress on your own device stays until you clear your browser's data.
What stays has no name, email address or network address attached, only a random number that nothing links to you any more. An empty "Deleted player" record with its dates, the coin history, admin history and a note that the number deleted its account are kept as long as the game runs, so coins cannot be cheated, admins stay answerable and we can show the deletion happened. Safety records of chat that broke the rules or was reported are kept for 180 days after it happened, or until a moderator closes the case if that is later, so deleting cannot remove evidence of harm. Words in those records and in the coin history are kept as they were written for as long as that record is kept. Nightly backups are overwritten after about a week. Older server logs may hold an email address until they are replaced, and Cloudflare, which carries all traffic, keeps its own logs. If your account is banned it cannot be deleted in the game, so email us and we will help.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and you can object to or limit some uses. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California and other US states), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by California law. To use your rights, email [email protected], or in Fishdayz use Settings > Support > Delete my account (step by step: Delete your Fishdayz account), or in Hollowdayz, Lanterndayz or Punchdayz tap your name on the title screen. We answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm you own the account.
Children
Our games are for players aged 13 and older and are not directed at children under 13. Each game asks for the player's age before an account, chat or purchases are possible, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
Our sites use HTTPS, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, access to player data is limited to a few staff, and we keep daily backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
International visitors
We are based in the United States and our servers are in the United States. If you use our services from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; for important changes we will also tell players in the game.
